Hello! I'm Erika

I’m not a tour operator. I’m not a travel agent.
I’m a travel consultant — and every itinerary on this site is one I’ve personally done.

These Trips Are Real. No templates. No secondhand advice.
Each trip was created or co-created by me, booked and paid for, and tested on the ground. I’ve experienced these itineraries myself — while working directly with the same tour operators I now recommend.

Why I Started Sharing My Itineraries

Over time, more and more friends asked me for help with their Africa trips — not just where to go, but how to make it work. They didn’t want a brochure or a random list of operators. They wanted someone who’d actually been there.

So I started putting my trips together here — real routes I’ve done myself, with honest notes, and recommendations based on experience. If you’re planning something similar, I’m happy to help you figure it out and point you to the exact people I trusted on my own journey.

What Is This About

Tried & Tested Itineraries

All trips shared here are ones I’ve personally done — not generic samples.

Trusted Tour Operators

I only refer operators I’ve used myself — no random listings.

Traveler-First Planning

Advice based on what works in real life, not just what sounds good online.

Hands-On Coordination

I help plan your trip and handle communication with the tour operator.

Direct Booking, No Middleman

You pay the tour operator directly. I stay involved to make sure everything is clear — but I don’t handle payments.

Flexible Involvement

You can take over the planning yourself. I’ll introduce you to the operator and step back if you’d rather continue directly.

Why This Might Work for You

Because I know both sides of the industry.I work as a digital marketing consultant for African tour operators, and I’ve also spent years traveling in the region — from classic safaris to off-the-grid routes. That combination gives me a solid understanding of what travelers want and how operators actually work behind the scenes. I know who communicates well, who delivers consistently, and what’s realistic on the ground.

How It Works

Browse My Itineraries

These are real trips I’ve done — where some are ones I designed. You’ll find day-by-day breakdowns, accommodation tips, and honest insights.

Get in Touch

Tell me what you’re planning — whether it’s similar to one of my trips or something totally different. I’ll help refine your route and make sure it suits your style.

I Handle the Planning

I’ll coordinate with the tour operator on your behalf, communicate your needs clearly, and help shape the itinerary. You’ll know exactly which operator I’m working with from the start.

You Book Directly

Once you’re happy with the plan, you book and pay the tour operator directly.

How I Earn

There’s no extra cost to you — I don’t charge planning fees.
Instead, I earn a small referral commission from the tour operators I recommend. Most of them are also clients I work with through my marketing consultancy, so I know them well — not just as partners, but as people I’ve worked with behind the scenes.

Referring them helps support my work, and more importantly, I only recommend teams I genuinely trust.

That means you’re not just getting a random name — you’re getting someone I’ve either traveled with myself or worked with closely over time.
It’s a setup that works for everyone: they get bookings, I support my business, and you get a real, reliable connection.

My Recommended Itineraries

If I could only recommend one trip per country, it would be these.
Each link opens a full, day-by-day breakdown.

This is your starting point

Each of these sample trips shows a route that works well as it is—but it’s not the only way to do it.
Think of it as a base model. You can:

Add or remove days

Swap one park for another
Change type of accommodation
Adjust for budget, pace, or specific interests

For example: The Tanzania itinerary covers Tarangire and Serengeti, but you’d rather visit Lake Manyara or add a few days on Zanzibar, that can be arranged.

These samples are just a starting point to give you a clear idea of what a real trip can look like. From there, we adapt it to match your time, budget, and travel style—so you don’t have to start from scratch or figure it all out alone.
