Tours While in Africa

If you’re planning to do a tour in Africa and need some advise on which tour to avail, and how to make the ideal itinerary tailor-made to your needs, we can help you.

Having traveled in Africa, not only do we know which places to go but have also met and used several travel operators along the way. We do not own a tour company. When you inquire with us, we will create an itinerary for you but also let you know the company we recommend so you can check their reviews and background, just like we did when we booked them for ours πŸ™‚

We get special rates from the tour operators we work with that we then extend to you. In the end, you get a very competitive rate booked directly with the local tour operators. Win-win for everybody!

About Tanzania

Tanzania is probably the most popular safari destination in East Africa along with Kenya. One reason is that it hosts the Great Wildebeest Migration on one of its top parks, the Serengeti. You can do a safari in Tanzania at any time of the year and enjoy cheaper prices during the low season. You are almost guaranteed to see all wildlife animals including the Big 5, though sighting of Rhinos is now a challenge. A safari in Tanzania is usually all-inclusive with your chosen tour operator using a 4x4 Land Cruiser with a pop-up roof.

Kenya

About Kenya

Travelers are often confused about where to have their first safari: Kenya or Tanzania.  If you've decided on Kenya, you are in for an amazing holiday. Kenya is cheaper than Tanzania in terms of park fees and accommodation making it a popular choice for solo and budget travelers. Masa Mara, which is its most popular game reserve is considerably smaller than Serengeti (of Tanzania) so you can expect to see animals with shorter game drives.

Ethiopia

About Ethiopia

Ethiopia is a haven for archaeological finds dating back more than 3 million years, making it a place of ancient culture. Ethiopia is not a safari destination, rather a place of stunning nature and historical sites. Among its important sites is Lalibela with its rock-cut Christian churches from the 12th–13th centuries.

Mauritania

About Mauritania

A land of endless deserts, and rich natural resources, Mauritania is a country in West Africa with a unique culture and way of life unknown to many. Mauritania is often still considered an unsafe destination but we would like to disagree given our experience. Unfortunately, the lack of internet made it difficult for this country to redeem its reputation. Though traveling here can be challenging, the rewards of traveling to a unique destination are worth it, especially among adventure travelers.
